Air Max 90 Camo Goes Electric with a New Volt Colorway!
Air Max shoes are, and always have been, an essential element in any sneakerhead’s collection. But some releases always hit us differently, like the upcoming Travis Scott Air Max 270. The upcoming Air Max 90 Duck Camo Volt is also one of these releases worth your attention and a Nike sneaker bot! So today, we’re going to go through a little history and discuss the new Air Max 90 Camo!
A Brief Air Max 90 History
Air Max 1 is the first silhouette to drop with a visible Air unit. The inspiration behind the innovative design was the Pompidou Centre in Paris. The building looks like an incomplete project with everything visible to the outside. That includes the escalators, heating systems, and everything else. Tinker Hatfield took the controversial idea and used it on sneakers. The end result was a fan-favorite, the Air Max 1!
Fast forward to 1990, another bold silhouette drops, and that was the Air Max 90! Originally supposed to be Air Max 3, the kicks featured a bold design as well as a bold colorway. Tinker Hatfield designed the kicks in a way that emphasizes the bigger air unit. The infrared colorway simply sealed the deal and the public loved it. So many different renditions of the same colorway dropped through the years that sneakerheads loved and owned.
Air Max 90 Camo Volt
First of all, the duck camo is a cool print that Atmos and Nike introduced to us through their 2013 Air Max 90 Camo Red! The kicks featured the popular infrared colorway and green duck camo. It was an exclusive drop, which naturally caused major hype. And finally, the Atmos Air Max 90 Camo gave off major BAPE vibes! 7 years later, Nike dropped Air Max 90 Camo in a reversed palette on March 26, 2020, aka Air Max Day.
And now, three months later, a Volt version of the popular kicks emerged and we are loving it! This colorway is dropping in honor of the silhouette’s 30th anniversary. Nike adopted the reverse duck camo colorway for this pair and swapped the infrared with the electric volt green. And honestly? It’s everything we need this season.
