TBT: When DJ Khaled Jordan 3 Father of Asahd Rocked Our World
When the music and sneaker industry collaborate, it ought to be really good. And today’s collaboration naturally took our breath away. The DJ Khaled Jordan 3 Father of Asahd was, and still is, one of the grails for many sneakerheads! This pair is almost as iconic as Eminem’s Jordans. So let’s check it out along with this year’s best 2020 Jordan 3s!
DJ Khaled Jordan 3 “Father of Asahd”
This pair is the sequel to 2017’s “Grateful” DJ Khaled Jordan 3! The first red pair was a celebration of DJ Khaled’s new album. It was F&F exclusive naturally, but some lucky fans won the pair while buying the album. Well, it certainly pays off to be a faithful fan! The pair currently resells for up to $14,000.
A year later, we got not only one, but two pairs of Jordan 3s! You wouldn’t tell the difference at first sight because they’re both rocking the royal blue colorway. However, the difference of materials will catch your eye upon closer inspection. The first colorway “Another One” comes in an all-blue leather upper, along with a black midsole. Moreover, DJ Khaled’s record label name “We The Best”, along with Nike Air branding are on the heel tab!
The DJ Khaled Jordan 3 “Father of Asahd” features almost the same details. The main difference though is the suede upper instead of leather and extra red detailings! DJ Khaled Jordan 3 “Father of Asahd” was also lowkey a marketing stunt to promote the new album. And it worked.
How Is It Looking for the Kicks in 2020?
Well, naturally, the kicks were exclusive to friends and family. We all know what F&F drops mean, cash cash cash if you get your hands on them! And you could at some point because a giveaway was the only way to own a pair.

DJ Khaled Jordan 3 Alternatives
Many of us look for Yeezy alternatives because you know how pricey they can get on the aftermarket. And let’s be real here, not everyone can spare 10 grand to get the DJ Khaled Jordan 3. What we can do is cop some similar alternatives! Let’s check the latest 2020 Jordan 3s that we can get, after all, it was a yearful of this silhouette.
Jordan 3 Royal Blue
The closest alternative to the expensive DJ Khaled Jordan 3 “Father of Asahd”. It’s still new and is pretty affordable compared to f&f exclusive pairs. The kicks feature a royal blue leather upper, the elephant print, black and white midsole. So technically, all the deets we love about DJ Khaled’s pair, just without the signature.

Jordan 3 UNC
Who doesn’t like to rock colors that mean so much to the GOAT? In 2020, we got the chance to do just that. We got a pretty decent version of the UNC Jordan 3 PE, without the PE detailing that is. It’s a clean white and university blue leather pair, and we’d rock that any day!

Retail Price: $190
Avg. Resale Value: $280
Jordan 3 Laser Orange
Switch the UNC blue with laser orange and you’ve got the women-exclusive pair! The best Jordan 3 colorways are the lowkey ones. The pair also looks like the OG White Cement with a hint of color!

Jordan 3 Fragment
The highlight of 2020’s Jordan 3 releases. We all remember how much the sneaker industry loved Fragment’s Jordan 1. That’s why the Jumpman and Hiroshi Fujiwara joined hands once again for the 2020 pack! The Fragment Jordan 3 kinda looks like a muted version of Tinker Hatfield’s 2019 Jordan 3. And of course, the Fragment embossing is a plus!
