TBT: Nike’s Off White Pine Green Dunks: A Popping Pair to Remember

You all know the release date of a whole new set of Nike x Off white Dunk is approaching. And we thought it was a good time to appreciate a hype version of Dunks. A one of a kind piece that once made resellers a real fortune. Before everything goes downhill with the release of 50 different colorways of the Nike Dunk x Off-White, we’re gonna take you back to the one and only Off White Pine Green Dunks.

Nike Dunk Low Off White Pine Green: One Good TBT Out of Three

This pair dropped just two years ago, in 2019, when Virgil Abloh payed homage to skate culture’s adoption of 1980’s Nike Basketball silhouettes. Nope, the colorway wasn’t part of the OG “Be True To Your School” collection from 1985. It’s actually inspired by the Gorge Green colorway that debuted in 2003 as part of a general release. Too much green and all, but these kicks were definitely not sustainable sneakers.

More on the Fresh Looks

The Off White Pine Green Dunk was one of three colorways that were highly anticipated Nike Dunk collabs of that year and one of the hottest in the history of Dunks.  It’s constructed with a white leather upper and some fresh pine green overlays, laces, heel tabs, and Swooshes. The green shade on this one is way more vibrant than the Green Dunks from Supreme, and definitely more popping than the Barely Green Dunks. It’s just so extra.

The most iconic detail of the shoe is theneon-orange hike-inspired secondary lacing system. The zip-ties and signature Off-White text on the medial side-wall is another dope element of this pair. And finally, the usual tradition. Abloh loves scribbling the names of the first recipients on his pairs. And this one was made for the skate king Stevie Williams.

An L Worth more than Just Your Sneakerhead Tears

The Off White Pine Green Dunk was and still is one of the best dunk colorways. It’s a shoe that will hold more value than most new releases under this long-term partnership. This $170 pair is now reselling for an average of $777. Sick! Huh? But we remember very well: Just like any exclusive and one of a kind collab, this pair was super difficult to cop. After all, without a good bot, all you’re gonna get is big Ls. This pair is one simple lesson for ya’ll to get your sneaker bot copy right now! Imagine if you were able to cop a pair or two from these Off White Dunks back then. Where would you be today? Probably laying on a bunch of cash.

So, get your bots ready, pair them with some proxies for some multiple copping, a good-ass server, and that’s all you need to become a sneaker reseller. Practice your copping game because the next hot Off-white pairs are just around the corner.
