Notre Dunk High shows off the best Chicago craftsmanship!
Almost 8 months following the reveal of the first mock-up, the Notre Dunk High is finally landing! The Notre Dunk high was rumored to release during the past holiday season along with the Slam Jam and Bodega. However, the delay news was not that shocking as we got used to such surprises in the sneaker industry. This Nike x Notre high profile collab fruit adds the hype of the January Dunk releases.
Featuring 2020’s most wanted silhouette, the Notre Dunk High is trying to please all sneaker tastes with two iterations. The high ankle profile shows off two dope renditions. Those kicks have a similar shoe construction accentuated by contrasting colorways. In fact, both sneakers sport double Notre and Nike branding on the tongue. They also come with two more sets of laces in White and Sail as extra styling options. Although it’s not the first time we notice a tugged in overlay swoosh, the unique frizzy suede brings a dope appeal.
Light Orewood Brown
Releasing first is the Light Orewood Brown. This neutral earthy shoe fits well the deconstructed aesthetic that the Chicago retailer Notre often showcases. This Notre Dunk high version features a beige leather base and light brown textured suede overlay. These kicks also have a handshake motif on the medial panel revealing Nike’s stamp. The exposed stitching style and clean nods reflect Notre’s aesthetic as well.
Release Date: Jan 21st, 2021 (Thursday)
Midnight Navy Notre Dunk High
The Midnight blue is the other Note x Nike collaboration iteration we’re longing for. The midnight navy captures through its details the natural night sky changing in hues. Hence, a sky grey leather upper sets the base to shunk-like midnight navy suede overlay and swoosh. As the navy suede swoosh reaches the heel, it turns black and stretches along with the lateral panel. Meanwhile, a marbled black insole, navy blue outsole, and white/navy laces complete the look.
Release Date: Jan 23rd, 2021
Chicago boutique Notre will raise the thrill and excitement of the colorways by setting two different release approaches. The Notre Dunk High Light Orewood Brown will be a shop-exclusive release, whereas the Midnight Navy pair will release on SNKRS. For those of you who like the frizzy suede style, AJ1 is also releasing a similar suede look. So, don’t forget, AIO and ANB always have your back in the copping process.
