TBT: The Travis Scott Jordan 1: A Cactus Jack OG to Die For
It’s right about time for another good TBT, and that’s why we love Thursdays, fam. The best collabs for me are the ones that are about hot collabs. The best of both worlds: a mix of the hottest Sneakers with a creative tweak from a mastermind outsider. And we ain’t gonna show no objection when a pair from the Swoosh is getting revamped my someone as epic as Travis Scott. Yes, we are definitely inspired by his soon-to-drop collab. It has taken us back to his awesome 2019 pair: The Travis Scott Jordan 1 Retro High OG.
The Travis Scott Jordan 1: One Sick Collab for the 2019 Books
This pair still makes our heart skip a beat. It’s just so good looking, we don’t know if we can even explain it. This Travis Scott Jordan 1 collab was definitely an early nominee for shoe of the year back in 2019. The shoe literally expresses the tones that associate with La Flame’s signature aesthetic. The uppers of this Cactus Jack featured a mix of brown nubuck and white leather. The Swoosh on this pair is pitch black for some contrast. But that’s not what’s special about it. The Swoosh here is flipped backwards the way it always is on Scott’s Nike collab shoes, and we love it.
More on the Looks of this Cactus Jack
There’s a cool hidden stash pocket at the stitched ankle collar of this shoe, and this kinda reminds us of this year’s beloved British Khaki. Ahhh! That was one legendary 2021 Jordan drop. Back to these 2019 pairs, now. Cactus Jack heel embossing, retro Nike Air tongue tags and mismatched red logos on the insoles serve as additional branding details. Finally, a sail-colored midsole and a dark brown rubber outsole elevate the shoe, completing the perfect looks of this TBT Travis Scott Jordan 1.
The Travis Scott Jordan 1 dropped on May 11, 2019 for $175. And whoever laid hands on this pair is one lucky sneakerhead.
Travis Scott Jordan 1 Aftermarket Deets
Well, this pair is beyond sick when it comes to the looks. A one-of-a-kind design paired with timeless colors: too good to be true. But that’s not the only sick thing about these pairs. This Travis Scott Jordan 1 is reselling for $1,673 USD. That’s just beyond crazy. And even if you’re okay with copping a used one, think twice. A preowned pair of those costs around $1,200. So you didn’t really save much. This was and still is a to die-for pair of shoes, and if you copped it 3 years ago, we’d dub you king, today. That’s one big number for just one shoe, so can you imagine if you heard of proxies back then? If you worked your Nike bot back, then and copped this grand pair?
Well, it’s too late right now, and it’s no use to cry over spilt milk. Your shot at the next Travis Scott x Nike pair is right around the corner, though. So, mark your calendars, get your bot copies, fix yourself with some proxies, and cop one, two, and maybe a multiple of this next drop.
